Across the USC system, University of South Carolina Aiken is ranked No. 1 among public regional colleges in the South, and University of South Carolina Upstate is ranked No. 3.
Covenant College is placed among the top 10 regional colleges in the South for the ninth consecutive year. It is rated 7th in the category. Founded in 1955, Covenant College is a leading Christian liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
Milligan College is among the top 10 colleges in the South in two college rankings: No. 3 in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” subcategory, and No. 9 among the “Best Regional Colleges in the South.” In addition to its U.S. News ranking, Milligan has been designated a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs.
Flagler College is ranked 10th in the south for Best Regional Colleges in the USNWR 2012 edition of "Best Colleges." It was also included in the Princeton Review's annual college guide "Best 376 Colleges – 2012 Edition."
West Virginia Wesleyan has been named among the best regional colleges in the South (at 12th) and ranked 2nd in the South in the Great Schools, Great Prices category in the 2012 edition of U.S. News and World Report's Best Colleges. Wesleyan is the highest ranked school in West Virginia in the Great Schools, Great Prices category.
