Sunday Times University Guide 2010

Sunday Times published their annual ranking of UK universities on 13th September 2009. The league table is based totally on standards such as scholar pride, training and research exquisite, ratings from head instructors? And educational peer evaluation, graduate unemployment degrees, and plenty of others. Oxford is ranked No. 1 out of 122 establishments this year, earlier of Cambridge (second) and Imperial (3rd).

Some of the coolest performers:

- UCL has risen from sixth to 4th vicinity nationally and is runner up in the newspaper?S University of the Year awards.

- Warwick moved up from seventh to 6th this 365 days, and it's far ranked 1st inside the location (Midlands) for every of each 12 years that manual has been published.

- Durham has completed its most ever ranking within the league desk, moved up a place to seventh.

- King?S College London up from seventeenth to 13th.

- University of Glasgow made a massive leap from thirty first to twenty 2nd.

- Dundee up locations to thirty fourth.

- University of Aberdeen rated twenty seventh (up seven places from 34th).

- Liverpool up an area to twenty 9th.

- University of Leeds up two locations to twenty fourth.

- University of Bristol is now within the Top 10 (up from sixteenth).

- Oxford Brookes University is placed in the Top 50 nationally, ahead of other leading new universities such as the Robert Gordon University (54th) and Nottingham Trent University (57th).

- University of Birmingham made it to Top 20 (up from twenty fourth).

Some of the negative performers:

- LSE dropped from 4th to ninth.

- Loughborough dropped from 11th to fifteenth.

- Exeter moved down 3 places to 17th.

- Royal Holloway moved down from 28th to 35th.
