Vanderbilt University tops the ranking of education schools in the 2010 US News rankings, ahead of Stanford and Columbia. It is also ranked 1st in the filed of special education and administration/supervision, 5th for educational policy and elementary education programs, 7th for educational psychology, and 8th for higher education administration.
Ranking Analysis:
- Vanderbilt moved up from 2nd last yr to the first spot. It is also ranked 1st in the nation within the area of Education Administration.
- UCLA moved all of the manner down to fifth this year (third in 2009 Education School Ranking).
- Oregon moved into Top four (from 5th).
- Univ of Wisconsin--Madison and Northwestern moved into Top 10.
- Johns Hopkins Univ moved up from twentieth to 7th.
- Michigan State dropped from 14th to seventeenth.
